About your therapist

I first discovered the amazing healing benefits of natural remedies and alternative therapies 18 years ago after a particularly stressful job in the music industry which left me quite unwell. This was my first realisation that we are three part beings, mind, body and spirit, and so my healing journey began.  My initiation into energy healing was with Reiki in Sydney, Australia, with the internatinally acclaimed Reiki teachers Frans and Bronwen Steine.  This initial introduction to energy healing was life changing for me, and led me to massage, yoga and healthy nutrition for the body.

On returning to the UK, I trained in Holistic Massage and Anatomy & Physiology in 2004 and then went on to study with the London School of Sports Massage and obtained a BTEC professional diploma in Sport and Remedial Massage Therapy in 2005.  I am also qualified in Indian Head Massage, Advanced Deep Tissue Techniques and Reiki levels 2 and 3.

I regularly further my knowledge through workshops and courses and continue to add a variety of new techniques to my massage treatments.  Also completing most of the Holistic Medical Massage series with Jing Advanced Massage and training in Brighton, including neck and shoulder conditions, shoulder girdle, hip and pelvis and Carpel Tunnel Syndrome.  I also specialise in Pregnancy massage, and particularly enjoy working with all of my pregnant clients at this special time in their lives.

I regularly practise yoga and meditation and take an active interest in diet and supplements after completing a introductory Kinesiology training 4 years ago.  I try to take a holistic viewpoint when treating clients and believe that massage, combined with a healthy diet, regular exercise, rest and relaxation, and a positive mind can help restore the body's natural balance, therefore enhancing general wellbeing.

I tend to work very slowly and deeply with strokes that focus on releasing the fascia (connective tissue) as well as the soft tissues (muscles), my clients often comment on how grounded they feel after a treatment.  I have 13 years experience of helping clients out of pain, to recover from operations or injury, helping mammas through their pregnancies or to just simply slow down, relax and re-connect to ones true nature.

I am also qualified as a yoga teacher with Yogacampus.  I am new to the Glastonbury area so will be starting up a new class in Babcary on Friday mornings from May 2017.  Classes will be slow and gentle, with an emphasis on good alignment, connection to breath and relaxation.

I look forward to meeting you.
